I started to get into photography when I was 18 years old. I was in New Zealand then. Tiro means to look in Māori, the language of the indigenous people from New Zealand. I liked the sound of that and so combined it with my first name.
The photos here are gathered from 2010 onwards. Most of them from travels abroad. I used to have a Pentax K30 and am now using a Canon R6. The analog photos are taken using a Pentax K1000.
I have never really been good at post-processing, so the majority of these photos are displayed the way I had configured the settings at that moment. That's true for all the black and white photos.
For me, photography is mainly a vehicle to appreciate being outside and observing. The photo is almost a byproduct but at the same time what gets me to get out and try to look very closely.
If you really enjoy a photo, feel free to reach out. I also do prints.
